Confession...

I normally reserve this blog for posts about family memories. But, today I just have to vent! I have a confession to make. I am NOT a good housekeeper! It is probably one of the hardest things for me to do. It just doesn't come naturally to me. I can make lists, plan times, follow Pinterest tips and schedules and it still seems almost impossible for me to keep a clean house! At the end of the day I reflect on my cleaning duties and usually it consisted of cleaning the kitchen a few times, folding, hanging and putting away laundry and picking up after the kiddos and their many messes (especially axls! I've never cleaned up so much poop in my life! Lol!) So, what's a mom of three littles four and under to do? Will my house ever be clean again? Will all my organizing and home making projects ever get accomplished? I just don't know... I just don't know! I want so badly to be a good house keeper!

Life with three...

Life with three is blessed and "BUSY!" I've had several people ask, "so what's it like with three?" Some of these peeps are just curious and some are considering a third child and want to know if it's doable. Well, I think the two "B's" say it all! Blessed. The bible speaks of children being a blessing from the Lord. And that, they most definitely are. Our three, bring so much joy to our lives each day. There are times that I'm honestly overwhelmed by the Lord and his blessing on our family with these three children. The blessing comes from the joy they bring, the fun we have but also from the lessons we learn. God has taught me so much through my children. Motherhood is not for the weary. Being a home "manager" is not for the weak, especially for this woman! Homemaking has never came easy for me. I always new I wanted to be a "stay at home mom," but didn't really know what all that would entail! lol! So that brings me to the second "b." Busy. I'm one busy little bee each day now that we have 3 little ones 4 and under. I feel like my day starts and ends before I can even blink! It's been starting around 4:30 or 5:00 lately and ending around 10:00-12:00. My sweet baby is a great sleeper! Ptl! But at 6 weeks old a great sleeper sleeps 6-8 hours each night. Momma still has many chores to accomplish before I can get some sleep! lol! Throughout my day I feed Judah Lou 5-6 times, get the big kids breakfast, lunch and dinner, play with the big kids (either at home or park), give Judah Lou some tummy/play time, run errands, give all my kiddos snuggle and love time, clean up after each meal, get snacks/juice/milk etc. all the while trying to keep up with laundry (for a family of 5) and our house neat and tidy! It can be overwhelming at times (if I'm not leaning on the Lord). All you mommy's out there know what I'm talking about! It's a big job! and just like my sweet husband said the other night, "A mother's work is never done," as I was adding a load of laundry to the dryer around 9 pm! He's absolutely right! Some days I feel like I haven't accomplished one thing, even though I haven't stopped for a moment that day. But no matter what, on those days, I know I have accomplished something. My kids are loved! They know this and feel it! They know daddy and I love them, but most importantly they know our sweet Savior Jesus loves them. And that's the most important thing of all! So to all my peeps who want to know what life is like with three, there you have it. It most certainly is blessed! And yes, it's very, very busy (at this stage) but, it's all so very very worth it! I'm 100% thankful the Lord called me to be mommy to these three precious children. I pray I point them toward Him each and every day. To God be the Glory!

Fun day!

Today Jared and I took the "big kids" to the alma waterpark. It was so much fun! Both spicer and axl went down the big kid slides and Jared and I did too! ;) they loved jumping off the diving board too! It was great to have some focused time with them. :) so very very thankful for fun times with my sweet family.

1 month old!

Our precious baby girl turned 1 month old on Wednesday July 3. I can't believe it's already been a month since she was born. She is such a great baby! We are trying to do the eat, wake, sleep pattern with her each day. She does pretty good with it, or is getting better! lol! The girl loves her sleep so it's sometimes hard to keep her awake after eating. She has slept through 2 baths! Unbelievable! She smiles now and I love that. Her first smile was around 3 weeks old and it was at her daddy! :) She will smile spontaneously and in response to our smiles. Just precious. She has a little dimple on her left cheek. So cute! She loves big brother and big sister. If they are around she really listens to hear them. Her eyes get so big and bright! They love her too! I'm so thankful for this! She still has a head full of hair but I think some of it is beginning to fall out. Still wears newborn clothes but can wear some 0-3 months. She is beginning to outgrow some newborn jammies. (tear) My MIL weighed her the other day on her scale (so who knows how exact that is) but she said she weighs around 9-10lbs. We won't have another check-up until she is 2 months old so we won't have an exact weight until then. I'm sure she is somewhere around that weight. She is really chunking up, as all our babies do! lol! and I love it! She is eating about 4 ounces every 3 hours during the day. At night her last feeding is usually around 8:30, then she usually wants a couple more ounces about an hour later and then sleeps until 2. I feed her at 2 and then she usually eats again around 6 and then 9. She has gotten better about going to back to sleep after the 2:00 feeding but sometimes wants to stay awake! yikes! The past 2 nights she has gone right back to sleep so I'm hoping our days and nights are getting less confusing to her. :) During her first month she has been to target and walmart twice, her doctor twice, my doctor twice, the park a few times, swimming at Ma's house (but she didn't get in, just watched the big kids), a couple different restaurants, church and Mt. Magazine for a weekend getaway. :) Needless to say, I've felt great so we've kept going with life as usual! We are so thankful for our healthy happy little 1 month old Judah Lou! Praise be to God!
